Calvary Bible Institute. Calvary Bible Institute (CBI) is a short-term, part-time, non-degree granting institute designed to provide a Christian education to persons preparing for, or currently serving in, Christian ministry, as well as those who want to go deeper into God’s Word. CBI equips believers in biblical and doctrinal studies, ministry and leadership skills so that they can be prepared to do the work of the ministry. We believe that every member of the Body of Christ has been endowed with spiritual gifts and called to ministry. The mission of CBI and its qualified resident instructors includes the development of those gifts and calling by providing academic excellence through an experiential and practical education.
CBI offers two affordable programs: a 1.5-year program and a 3-year program.
If you are ready to begin your journey, please download the registration form.
CBI is directed by Enrique and Ana Berdecia.
Men's Ministry. "Behold, how good and how pleasant it is for brethren to dwell together in unity!" Psalm 133:1. There is nothing that Satan fights more than when men come together to worship the Lord and encourage each other in the things of God. This type of gathering can produce better fathers, husbands, sons and families. The Calvary Men’s Ministry is designed to be a transforming agent in the hands of the Lord to equip men to be all that God has predestined them to be. Those who participate in this ministry can expect to be instructed in the word of the Lord, edified by the Spirit of God and challenged by other godly men to become the best man that they are able to be. A Saturday morning men’s breakfast is held quarterly. Check the Calvary Calendar for more details. This ministry is led by Jack Sparling.
Discipleship Ministry. "Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age." Matt. 28:19-20. When a believer gives their life to the Lord, this is not the end of their journey, but merely the beginning. The entire life of a believer must be disciplined if they are to live victoriously for Christ. Although this can be a difficult endeavor, it can never happen without the Word of God. The Word of God must be taught in such a way that it can be heard, understood, received and followed on a daily basis. Led by Pastor Maurice Lassiter, those who participate in the Discipleship Ministry can expect to receive life-changing foundational truths from the Word of God, taught to them in such a way that will produce a victorious Christian life.
Life Groups. "And they, continuing daily with one accord in the temple, and breaking bread from house to house, did eat their meat with gladness and singleness of heart, Praising God, and having favor with all the people. And the Lord added to the church daily such as should be saved." Acts 2:46-47. The early church did not have the luxuries that believers of today have. There were no grand cathedrals, mega churches or large video screens that are relied on during today’s church services. What they had was the presence, power and passion of God. With this supernatural combination, the Lord saved and changed lives, transformed the early church and added to it daily. Within a small, simple and intimate setting, those who attend a Life Group, can experience what the early church experienced; the very life and transforming love of God. Pastor Maurice Lassiter leads this ministry.
