Dr. Emmanuel Ahia
Calvary Counseling Center
Dr. Ahia is the Director of the Calvary Christian Counseling Center. He believes the Word of God is the complete and sufficient basis for bringing rest to those who are “weary and burdened” with spiritual, emotional, personal and professional problems/issues.
He holds an earned BA degree and an MA degree from Wheaton College in Illinois as well as a Ph.D. from Southern Illinois University. Dr. Ahia is also a lawyer and is experienced in mediation. He is a professor, and is the Director of the Education Specialist Degree in Counseling Program at Rider University. He has also been a counseling professor and administrator at other universities (Johns Hopkins University, The University of Arkansas, and Southern Illinois University). Dr. Ahia is a member of the New Jersey, Pennsylvania and American Counseling Associations, American Association for Christian Counselors (AACC), and is a member of the Pennsylvania Bar Association as well as the American Bar Association. He is the author of many books and articles on counseling and mental health law. Dr. Ahia and his wife Ruth are parents of children who are saved and active in the things of God.
